GRAMMY's RE-CAP and WINNERS.

Good Morning Readers!
So Last night was the 52ND Annual GRAMMY AWARDS, The most perstigious night in music! This years show was not too bad; there were some great moments and performances and one not so great performance. The opening number between Lady GaGa and Lady Elton John was really spectacular! Now, before the airing of the show I posted on facebook that I just didn't get Lady GaGa. To me, her costumes and antics are a bit over the top. My little brother Jonathan says " She's the Madonna of our generation"...Really? Well, I won't say she's that, but after her performance last night I'm willing to give her a chance. She sounded great! Her antics were still a bit over the top, but more importantly, she can really sing!

Next Up BEYONCE'! Now there have been harsh critisism of her performance. People are blogging that she bit off of JANET's Rhythm Nation...In my opinion, she used it as an influence and turned it up a couple of notches! I LOVE how she sang If I were A Boy and intertwined it with Alanis Morrisette's Classic You Outta Know. Her only flaw was when she tripped and almost fell while walking down that staircase in her 4" stillettos. I also want to say CONGRATULATIONS to Beyonce' for not only winning 6 out of the 10 GRAMMY's she was nominated for, but setting the record for the most awards won in one ceremony by a female artist in it's 52 year history.

Another noteworthy performance goes to PINK! Pink did the damn thing! Her perfomance of her hit Glitter In The Air was breath taking and bone chilling. She sounded simply amazing while dangling in the air by a strand of glittering fabric.

The Evening's WORST performance goes to Emeniem, Drake,Lil Wayne and featuring Travis Barker. I'm convinced Lil Wayne has NO HOME TRAINING, his performance consisted of cursing which resulted in a lot of censored beeps; there were so many beeps, I thought there was a winter storm alert about to be announced on television! Even though Jamie Foxx and T-Pain were placed in the worst performance catagory by some, I will say it could have been better, but it wasn't the worst.

Another great moment was the fitting tribute to the late KING OF POP "MICHAEL JACKSON!". Celine Dion, Usher, Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson sang The earth Song as a 3D version of the video This Is It played in the backdrop. The adding of MJ's LIVE vocals to the song was a perfect touch. His children along with his nephews accepted his award. Prince Michael stood proudly and gave an acceptable speech on behalf of his father; thanking and appreciating the adoring fans from around the world.

As far as Taylor Swift winning ALBUM OF THE YEAR (the highest honor of The GRAMMY's) I think she should have thanked Kanye West and taken him to dinner to show her appreciation because it was his antics that boosted her sales and gave her unbelieveable recogition.

And even though the REAL MUSIC artists didn't win anything, I thought it was an honor that the acadamy recognized them for their works and their talents (ie: LEDISI, Lalah Hathaway, Bilal, Foreign Exchange, Eric Roberson, Jazmine Sullivan and Tonex)! Hopefully next year we'll see them along with Rahsaan Patterson as 2011 winners of GRAMMY AWARDS.

What are your thoughts and comments on last night's ceremony? and in case you missed it heer is BEYONCE's spectacular performance of the evening.
