Hey Readers! In the words of one of my dearest friends Lisa McDuffy, "Now he done tore his drawers!" When she says that, that means someone has messed up beyond repair. Oprah Winfery has instructed her staff to NEVER book John Mayer. His use of the word Nigger, his candid talk of his sexual excursions with Jessica Simpson and Oprah's close friend Jennifer Aniston have made the Queen of daytime a not so happy camper. I don't have to repeat what he said in his initial interview with Playboy; Hell, everyone knows.
Here's a quote from popeater.com:“Oprah is the smartest person on TV and will not let John use her or her show to ask for forgiveness,” a PopEater source dishes. “If John really wants to apologize for his racist and sexist comments, he should find somewhere else. The only way Oprah, who is a dear friend of Jennifer Aniston, would ever book him is if John were interested in having a much deeper conversation about race, women and fame.”
Now, I for one wouldn't accept his apology because it's how he really feels; He's not apologetic for what he said, he's sorry for saying it to a world wide publication. Oprah doesn't want or need him on her couch to boost ratings.
Maybe this will be a lesson learned and he'll know what thoughts to keep to himself.
I agree with Lady O's decision not to have him on her show! He merely spoke how he felt inside - possibly. I don't think he's a racist though, but I do think he's grossly insensitive, arrogrant, immature and crude. I don't have much respect for those who kiss and tell like that either. It's one thing to talk to close friends about your business its totally another to tell your intimate interactions to the world. In his unskilled efforts to be provacative and alluring the media machine devoured him!
